Top o' The Mornin' To Ya

It's time for the green beer, wearing green, shamrocks and parades. Being a fair skinned, freckled red head most think I'm 100% Irish, but I'm mostly English decent.    On St. Patrick's Day everyone is Irish right?   I hope to make a pot of Irish beef stew or Shepherd's Pie to celebrate or maybe I'll make my way to the local pub for a pint or two.

St. Patrick's Day decorations on the table.  I made the shamrock wine charms a few years ago.   The little leprechauns were found at Dollar Tree this year.   The Irish Coffee cups and saucers were found at a local thrift shop.

I may be a bit Irish, but I do not have a green thumb.  It must be the luck of the Irish that I've been able to keep this shamrock plant alive for 3 plus years.

The stack starts with a shamrock print fabric charter plate cover. The gold plates is next then a Valerie Parr Hill plate.  The top plate is made by Global Design and was found at Home Goods several years ago.

This is a wreath I made a few years ago.

    1. Thank you Christine! Those napkin rings are sunglasses from Dollar Tree a few years ago that I snapped apart. One of these days I'm going to jazz them up with a little glitter.

  2. A fun St. Patrick's table - I particularly like the Irish coffee mugs and your chargers. You must share how you do them.

    1. Thank you Sandra! I need to do a post with how to pictures. They are very easy to sew up like a big shower cap then stretch over the charger plate. I need to make the ones for my Masters Tournament & Wimbledon table. Maybe I'll make pictures as I go make them and post.

  5. Your plate stack is so fun! I love those chargers, too. I've never seen napkin rings like those, but they're another fun addition, as well. I hope you have a "smashing" good time tomorrow for St. Patty's Day! :-)

    1. Thank you Kim! The napkin rings are Dollar Tree sunglasses broken in half. The minute I spotted them in the store I knew they would be perfect napkin rings.

  6. You've set a fun and festive table for St. Paddy's Day! Shamrocks are the stars and they shine brightly in their different forms in your design.

    Happy St. Paddy's Day!

  7. I love that eyelet plate! Did you make the napkin rings too? I don't have much in the way of St. Pats decor, but I had never thought about picking it up at a thrift shop or even the dollar store. I will keep my eye open for that next year because I love to serve the food of the irish...I need a great table scape!

    1. Thank you Debbie. The eyelet plates belonged to my late Mom. They were part of a Valerie Parr Hill Collection from QVC. I also have the matching cake plate. The napkin rings are sunglasses from Dollar Tree a few years ago. I broke them apart and removed the ear pieces. I knew they would make perfect napkin rings. Keep your eyes open in thrift stores for items. I try to pick up things year round as I find them and store away for St. Patty's Day.

  8. Catherine,
I have been busy celebrating St. Patrick's Day with all of my siblings this week. Our family loves across the states and we are Irish too. Your tablescape is popping out the wearing of the green for St. Paddy's Day. The table decor is delightful. Thank you for sharing your talents with TADA this week.
    Happy Creating,
    Karen Marie
