Hello 2019

Happy New Year!   I hope everyone had a safe and wonderful holiday!  Do you make resolutions?   I do, but usually blow it within the first week.   I think the most popular resolution is to shed a few pounds.  I have enjoyed way too many "sweet treats" over the last two months so I know I need to shed a few.   I do  need to exercise more and get the body moving more than just walking the dog twice daily.  I'm not big on gyms so I need to find something I can do at home plus brisk walks without Cooper.   I love our walks, but he's a sniffer so it's not a steady walk.  The biggest item on my resolution list is to organize my tablescape items.  I have more plates,  glasses, napkins, napkin rings and tablecloths than I can count.  Most items are easily accessible, but every now and then I cannot find something that I need for a table. I have a storage unit where I store all of my accessories and holiday decor and thank goodness everything inventoried, labeled and easily accessible.  Hopefully once a little better organized  table styling will flow  much easier in 2019.

I used several Valerie Parr Hill items in the center of the table.  The 11" illuminated clear glass drop hurricane is stunning at night.  I added two of her 13" mercury glass accent lamps on the each side of the hurricane.  The two smaller illuminated faceted gem hurricanes between the large hurricane and the accent lamps.  I added  one of Valerie's gold glittered leaf maiden hair candle  rings under the large hurricane.

The napkin rings are from Z Gallerie.

I used gold glittered bottle brush trees as place card holders.

The black crystal champagne flutes are from HomeGoods.

The stack starts with a black tablecloth.  The high gloss gold chargers are from HomeGoods.   The Courtly Check dinner plate is by MacKenzie Childs.  The gold and white salad plate is from HomeGoods this season.  The clock appetizer plates are by 222 Fifth and the pattern is  Time Will Tell.

The gold and silver illuminated finials are by Valerie Parr Hill.  The silver finials are currently on sale at QVC and available in several colors.  (I just ordered the blue for my Easter/Spring/Beach tables)
I used 2 silver glitter leaf garlands by Valerie Parr Hill and a gold magnolia leaf garland from the Lisa Robertson Collection.  I added in a gold spiral glitter ribbon by Valerie.

My dog Cooper and I rang in the New Year with some bubbly and appetizers at our very sparkly table.

Have a Happy New Year!

    1. Thank you so much Kathleen! One of these days I'm going to do a blog on my storage situation. I live in a tiny 650 sq foot apartment/villa here by the water. I use every square inch possible to store plates, table cloths, glassware and everything else that goes in to the tables. Everything in the 8x8 storage unit is organized in banker type boxes by holiday/events etc. I also store all seasonal and holiday greenery and decor in that unit. It's a chore to keep it organized, but I keep a online inventory via Pinterest and my Google Drive. Have a blessed 2019!
