Do You Want to Build a Snowman?

Living in South Florida this is as close as I will get to building a snowman this year.   Several friends that follow my tablescape post have sent me the  snowman place setting over the last couple of years so I decided to style one this year.    The Christmas holidays are over, but I'm not ready to give up my Christmas village yet. This was a fun table to style and would be fun for children.

The snowman is wearing a ruffled scarf I made a few years ago.

This is a snowlady and she loves red lipstick.  She is wearing ruffle scarf I made a few years ago.

The wine charms are made from tiny snowman Christmas ornaments I purchased at Hobby Lobby.

The napkins ring top hats were found at Walmart this past Christmas.  They have little clips on the bottom and attach to a beaded napkin ring my Mother made.

I used two black napkins for each hat.  I make the nose out of orange card stock.   The eyes and nose are pom poms.

I have never seen the movie Frozen, but I do enjoy the soundtrack. I purchased cute little Olaf a few season ago to use in my Winter wreath.   I made the white pom pom garland today to use on the table.

Florida Snowman!

    1. Thank you Linda! So many friends that have followed my many tablescapes on Facebook for many years have shared this idea with me several time. I'm running behind and didn't have my Winter table ready yet so I decided to go with the snowman this week. I would LOVE to go shopping with you Linda. You have the most beautiful items for your tables. Happy New Year!

  3. So whimsical and creative! I love the formation of the snowmen with your plates. The details are amazing. The snowmen's scarves are so unique. Are they crocheted? So sweet...

    1. Thank you so much! It was a fun table to create and would be perfect if you have small children to enjoy. I crocheted the ruffle scarves a few years ago. I only get to enjoy them here in South Florida about two months every year. Happy New Year!

  4. What a fun table! Yes, I've seen the idea before but you took it to "the next level" for sure with the scarf table runner, the scarves on the snowpeople, the top hat centerpiece and napkin rings, etc. Just too cute!

    1. Thank you Joy! It was a fun table to create. I found this scarf while "junkin" for $1.00. I have searched high and low for reasonably priced faux Burberry plaid like fabric. It's very pricey online so I hope I can eventually use this scarf to make charger plate covers. Not sure how it will work since it's woven so I may have to back it with muslin. I love test projects so we will see how it turns out. I made the crocheted scarves a few years ago. They do not get much use here in So. FL. Happy New Year!

    *clearing throat*

Oh yes, I want to build a snowman,
We got our first snowfall today
    I wonder if my kids
Will come out in the cold,
With their old mom to play.

    1. I wish I could trade with for a few days Emily. I would enjoy the snow for a change from this horrible humidity. Stay safe in the snow!

  11. Catherine, your snow people are adorable. Love the touch of Burberry down the center of the table. The perfect winter accessory! We rarely get snow here, but it can happen. It certainly is cold enough to snow!

  13. Your tablescapes are always so inventive. I love the snowmen. We almost had snow this past weekend but alas it was just ice and slick roads. I'll be heading to my daughter's in Delray Beach later this week hoping to enjoy some of your South Florida weather.
