Happy Shamrock Day

It's time again for the wearing of the green.   Being a redhead with fair skin, freckles and green eyes I feel sure I'm a wee bit Irish.  Everyone is Irish on St. Patrick's Day!

The table is dressed in greens, golds and loaded with shamrocks.

I used a bronze metal votive twig tree in the center of the table.  It's loaded with kelly green and lime shamrocks, hats and gold coins.

I found the green and white drinking glasses last year at a local thrift store.  I knew they would be perfect for St. Patty's Day.  I've had the cut glass shamrock for many years.  I believe it belonged to my Grandmother Smith.

I used the shamrock wine charms I made on the Irish Coffee mugs.

The little leprechaun is perched in a beautiful kelly green glass bowl surrounded by shamrocks.

The server decorations.

Overhead view of the table.

The plate stack.

The gold clay carved chargers are from Old Time Pottery.   The dinner plates are MacKenzie Childs Courtly Check.   The shamrock plates are from HomeGoods several years ago.  I placed the Irish Coffee mug and sauce on top.

  1. Once again, you've outdone yourself! The black/white checked plates are a nice break from all the green, and play well with the other pieces you've used. I love those drinking glasses, as well as the Irish coffee mugs, and of course the shamrock plates. And your centerpiece is darling. Happy St. Patrick's Day, Catherine!

    1. Thank you Kathleen. I love St. Patrick's Day. I really think I have a bit of Irish blood, but I'm the only redhead in the family so who knows for sure. One of these days I'm going to do one of those DNA test to see. I found those mugs while thrifting for plates a couple years ago. I just love using them and especially on the St. Patrick's Day table.
