It's time to break out the sombreros, shake your maracas, drink a few margaritas and enjoy some fine Mexican food. Cinco de Mayo and the Kentucky Derby fall on the same date this year so I'm celebrating a little early this year.

Cinco de Mayo tablescape. |
I used assorted silk flowers to make the candle rings. |
A few years ago one of my Learjet pilots returned from a charter flight to Mexico with this beautiful vase. It works perfectly on the table filled with silk flowers. |
I used bandanas from Hobby Lobby as napkins. |
The small pinata was purchases at Hobby Lobby several years ago. |
The sombreros are from Pier1. They were part of their Day of the Dead collection last Fall. |

The plate stack. I used a serape as the table cloth. The turquoise chargers are from Tuesday Morning. The goldenrod dinner plates is from Dollar Tree a few years ago. The red salad is from Pier1. The top plate is from Pier1 this season. |
The appetizer plates are from Pier1 this season. They are not showing online, but were in store last week. They have a great supply of Fiesta/Cinco de Mayo items this year. |
Happy Cinco de Mayo!
Catherine

What a bright and happy table! I love the bandana napkins and the little sombreros on the margarita glasses. And those appetizer plates are the "crowning touch." So many wonderful details, as with all your tables. Ole!
