Thank goodness the final hours of this crazy election year are upon us! I have been voting for 38 years and I must stay this is the most heated election I've ever witnessed. I plan on enjoying a bottle of bubbly and celebrate the end of the nasty ads from both sides tonight. Hopefully no matter the outcome tonight, our country will come together as one and have a strong future ahead of us.
Chilled bottle of bubbly will be ready for the watch party tonight. |
Living room credenza decorated with election items. |
I found this great White House cookie kit at Trader Joe's. It was fun to assemble, but I doubt I will be eating it. |
This is the first cookie house I've assembled in my entire life. Not even a gingerbread house over 50 plus years. Thinking I may try a kit for Christmas. |
I'm not the greatest at decorating cakes, cupcakes etc., but this was fun. |
I love my little metal president collection surrounding the White House cookie. |
Get out and VOTE my friends! |

How special this is Catherine. You are so creative. Since this is your first cookie house, you did an amazing job. So patriotic and lovely. I hope our country does come together. I checked your blog name and www.smashingtablescapes.com is available for $9.34 for two years from Godaddy. Your blog will be the same and you will not lose a thing.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda,
DeleteThank you. My tired old hands are not as steady as they used to be. I will get with you very soon and get this changed over. That is very reasonable for two years.
Have a lovely evening. I'm heading home to pop a cork not matter which way it goes tonight I have a feeling I'm going to need it.
Catherine
What a great way to encourage people to vote. You created a beautiful table!
ReplyDeleteThank you Christine. I'm so happy the political season is over. Planning my inauguration day table now then will put it all away for another four years. :)
