The 89th Academy Awards ceremony, presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, will honor the best films of 2016 and will take place at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California on February 26, 2017. Each year I have a nice dinner while watching the live red carpet arrivals. I have a feeling La La Land will take home many awards this year. I haven't seen it yet, but hopefully will catch it On Demand soon.

I love making this napkin fold. It's called the Tuxedo Napkin fold. YouTube has lots of tutorials. I made the little bow ties using a boys template I found online.
The plate stack. Gold metallic leopard print fabric charger plate covers. A black dinner plate, gold star salad plate then the tuxedo napkin. |

Catherine, such an awesome tablescape. Love the tuxedo napkin fold. I did see that on youtube. You haves so many fun accessories. I bet it is a thrill to be a guest at your home. You are an amazing hostess. Thank you for sharing our artfully divine tablescape DI&DI.
ReplyDeleteAww, thank you Linda! I've used the tuxedo fold on my Oscar tables in the past, but this is the first time with the black jacket and the white shirt inside. It's fun to switch it up from year to year. I've collected several movie themed items over the years. I found those huge film reels at a local church rummage sale. My Mom and Dad had one of those 8mm movie projectors when I was a child. I'm going to look for more reels my next trip home to North Carolina. Thanks for hosting DI&DI!
DeleteAn awesome table! Love all your details. It should be a fun party! I know your guests will appreciate all the work you went to to create such a special space for the evening. Bravo!! Rosie @ The Magic Hutch
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Rosie! I'm looking forward to the red carpet arrivals and hopefully I'll be able to stay awake for the entire awards show. :)
DeleteAnother amazing table! Love that tuxedo napkin fold, and as always, there are too many wonderful details to mention. I'll be watching the red carpet but probably not the actual awards show. I'm sick and tired of political b.s. in their speeches. I did see LaLa Land and enjoyed it, I hope it wins several awards. (I love musicals.) Your table is certainly red carpet ready!
ReplyDeleteThank you Joy! I will watch the red carpet arrivals on E then on to something else. The last few award shows have been too political and not about their achievements. I hope to see LaLa Land soon!
DeleteHow fun! You have done every single detail up just perfectly! Thanks for sharing at Celebrate Your Story!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Chloe!
DeleteYou win the award for best Table!!!! This is so cute!! Love the little directors chairs and the napkin fold. You all are destined to have fun with this setting for the show!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Ann! I always enjoy setting the Oscar table each year. Looking forward to watching the red carpet arrivals and having a nice dinner with a glass of bubbly.
