It's a HOT Halloween here in South Florida. I was hoping for a little cooler weather, but the humidity is still high along with the temperatures. I'm heading home to North Carolina for a week soon and I'm really looking forward to cooler Fall like weather. I only upacked about a quarter of my Halloween decorations. It's just too darn hot to get in the Halloween mood.
For several years I have been searching for Jack-O'Lantern plates here in So. FL. Pottery Barn had these pretties on sale a couple weeks ago and I ordered six. |
I used MacKenzie Childs Courtly Check dinner plates under the jack o'lantern plates. |
The charger plates are from Dollar Tree several years ago. I faux painted them to look like stone. I wish they would bring these back in stock. I would love to paint some with sugar skulls. |
I used a holiday tree from the Valerie Parr Hill collection at QVC in the center to hold my Halloween ornament collection. |
The napkins are from HomeGoods and in store now. I used a mini skeleton from Dollar Tree as the napkin ring. |
Several years ago I collected large acorns on a visit home to NC to paint and use on my table. |
I made the skull wine charms a few years ago. |
The glasses are from Party City a few years ago. |
Overhead view of the table. |
The plate stack starts with a black and orange tablecloth in store now at HomeGoods. The charger is from Dollar Tree and faux painted by me a few years ago. The dinner plate is Courtly Check by MacKenzie Childs. The top plate is from Pottery Barn this season. |
The lovey purple witch was a thrift store find. |
The spider web runner is from Stein Mart. |
Happy Halloween!
Catherine

I enjoyed your fun tablescape in orange and black. I particularly liked the skeletons that appeared tied to the napkins! Tickled my funny bone, so to speak!

Thank you so much Sandra. I love those little skeletons too! Thank you for stopping by for a visit. :)
DeleteWow this is amazing. I love the chargers- totally unique and the PB Jack-o-lantern plates look wonderful on the MC courtly check dishes. I like the extra Halloween deco with the witch and pumpkins. I love colorful and whimsical settings like this! I hope North Carolina offers some cooler temps for you!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Liz.:) I'm looking forward to some cooler temps.
DeleteI am loving this table, those skull dishes are calling my name!
ReplyDeleteThank you Christine. :) I wish Dollar Tree would offer those platters again. As soon as I figured out how to paint them they discontinue the item. I've searched high and low hoping someone else would stock them. Maybe one day they will return.
DeleteLush and inviting - so much detail, fun to discover all your special touches
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Carolyn. :)
DeleteI remember your skeleton chargers and wine charms, I think the stone look makes those chargers look much better. And I love the jack-o-lantern plates with the checked plates. You've set another great table. I hope you'll enjoy the NC weather, it has finally gotten a little cooler in N GA but the leaf color is WAY behind what it usually is in mid-October.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Joy! I'm looking forward to my visit home to see my family and the cooler temps. I'm hoping the leaves will be at peak. I really miss the change of seasons living here in the tropics.
DeleteSpooktacular! I love the skeleton napkin rings and oh so creepy chargers! Of course the MKC plates are perfect under your cute pumpkin plates and your thrift store witch is fabulous! Happy Halloween Catherine!
