Spooky Halloween Dinner Guest

I have a spooky dinner guest joining me at the Halloween table this week.  His name is Skelly McRibs and he is very "boney", but always has a smile.

Skelly is very stylish!

The plate stack starts with a Dollar Tree plastic charger plate from several years ago.  They were a smokey color so I faux painted them to look like stone.  I posted a picture with instructions on a Halloween Decor blog last October.  The orange dinner plate is also from Dollar Tree.   The black cat plates were purchased at HomeGoods this season. They are manufactured by 222 Fifth and the pattern is named Scaredy Cat.

The layers.

The spiderweb tablecloth was purchased at HomeGoods last year. They were in stock again this year.

The Halloween place mats were purchased at Stein Mart.

I used a Jack O'Lantern as the centerpiece.  Normally I would hide the electrical cord under the place setting in order to have it light up.  Well, I found the coolest gadget on Lisa Robertson's website a a couple weeks ago.  Its called a Realistic LED Flame.  Lisa's  describes it as the next big leap in flameless and she is correct.  It looks real!  It has a 3 hour or 6 hour timer and you use the USB charging cable provided to charge it. NO BATTERIES!!   YEAH!  I order two and I know they will be getting lots of use.  I put a video on the Smashing Plates Tablescapes page.

The pumpkin place markers are large acorns I found in North Carolina.  I made the skull wine charms.

The wine witch set and beaded candy corn garland are made by RAZ.

I painted the sugar skull under the glass cloche.  The sugar skull planter was purchased at Trader Joes last week.  The mini fabric pumpkins are from Target.

Server decor.  The leopard pumpkin is made from duct tape.

The antique brass skull pumpkin is in HomeGoods this season.

I used the black spooky tree on the server this year.

Have a Spooktacular Halloween!
