Christmas Carolers

It's hard to believe this will be the last post of 2018.  I am running a little behind on posting my last Christmas tablescape of the season.  I worked Christmas Day, but I was able to enjoy a nice dinner at the table on Christmas Eve.   The table is a collection of Dickens Carolers and cardinals.

I mixed my formal Christmas china with dark brown woven chargers and tartan plates I found while thrifting years ago.  They have musical instruments in the center which works nice with the music theme this week.

I used  a mercury glass kaleidoscope light show tree from the Valerie Parr Hill Collection in the centerpiece.   I placed one of her red glistening berry candle rings under the tree and added in some fresh greenery.

I used two illuminated mercury glass cardinal holiday icons from Valerie's collection.   The crystal Godinger knife rest are from Amazon.

I placed one of Valerie's handpainted glass cardinal spheres on top of her lit quilted mercury glass pedestal.  The spheres pictured are no longer in stock, but the link will take you to a similar design. I used one of her white glistening berry and leaves candle rings under the sphere.

I used preserved boxwood wreaths on the back of the chairs.  The red velvet ribbons are old and tattered, but they were made by my late Mother over 30 years ago.

The cardinal napkin rings are by Lenox.

The hand painted cardinal glasses are from Stein Mart years ago.

The stack starts with the pretty Christmas cardinal tablecloth found at HomeGoods this season.  The woven charger plates are currently in store at Dollar Tree.   The Christmas china was a gift from my Mom many years ago.  The tartan top plate is Sasaki by Charles Roberts.  I only have three of the set of four.  Hopefully I will find the single plate that I'm missing on eBay.

This entire collection started with the purchase of the lamp post to use on my Mardi Gras table.  The next time Valerie was on QVC she showed the family of 4 Dickens Victorian Carolers  on a piano.  Eventually I will move back to my family home which holds a beautiful piano gifted to my Mom from my Dad in the early 60's.   I know they will be perfect to display at Christmas atop her piano.

I used two of Valerie's mercury glass accent lamps on each end of the server.  I also used cardianl figurines with holly accents on the bookcases.   The magnolia garland is also party of Valerie's collection.

Christmas Pups

The minute I spotted these cute puppy plates at HomeGoods I knew they would be perfect for a doggie themed Christmas table.   They work well with my Pier1 Park Avenue Pups collection.

I love the little yellow Labrador.  It reminds me of my first dog Casey.

The red illuminated finials are by Valerie Parr Hill.

I used a cute little yellow dog in the center piece.

The salt & pepper shakers are part of the Park Avenue Pups collection from Pier1.

The finials are so pretty at night.

The Christmas pups napkins are by Cynthia Rowley and in store now at HomeGoods.   The bell napkin rings are from Pier1 a few years ago.  The coffee mugs are part of the Pier1 Park Avenue Pups collection.

I used Park Avenue Christmas ornaments from Pier 1 as place cards.   I added the name with beads to each ornament.

The plate stack starts with a red and white buffalo check table cloth from Stein Mart and in store now.  The red charger plate is from Michael's.   I used my fine Christmas china dinner plate then topped it with the Cynthia Rowley puppy plate.

The hydrangea and magnolia garland is by Valerie Parr Hill.  The illuminated glitter wax green trees and white illuminated glitter berry cone trees are also part of her collection.

I purchased the little pugs in the red truck last year at HomeGoods. They have a similar truck in store this season.  I've had the yellow lab vase for many years.
