The Stag Party

The focal point of The Stag Party tablescape is a beautiful deer candelabra from the Lisa Robertson home collection.  I found the pretty stag plates last year at Pier One.   The minute Lisa showed the deer candelabra I knew it would be perfect with the stag plates.    I dream of living in Jackson Hole, Wyoming one day and I enjoy creating a rustic table that reminds me of my visit to Jackson years ago.  Last year I used pretty moose plates for my Jackson Hole Christmas table.    I may not be leaving So. FL anytime soon for Jackson Hole, but I will enjoy having dinner at this table and dreaming of what the future may hold.
I used fresh pine greenery and a 5 foot gold magnolia leaf garland from Lisa Robertson in the centerpiece.  I placed the stag inside a fresh fur wreath.

I inserted a string of battery operated mico lights in to the wreath.  I used a few beaded acorns from the Valerie Parr Hill Collection on QVC along with metallic gold Christmas ornaments.

Overhead view of the placesetting.

I'm in love with all the pretty buffalo check items in style at the moment.   The napkins are from Marshall's and I made the napkin rings.   I found a four pack of deer head ornaments at Walmart this season and used hot glue to attach to a wood slice.

I placed a small wooden mallard duck decoy on my Nora Fleming napkin holder.   I love the little Winter shirt ornaments.  The wooden deer ornament was found at Joanne's.

I used a set of deer sheds I found on a ranch in Montana many years ago in the centerpiece.   I also inserted a few pheasant feathers and shotgun shells in the wreath.

Place cards for myself and Cooper.

I used harvest gold goblets.

I made the stag/antler wine charms using mini ornaments I purchased at Hobby Lobby last year.

I used faux birch wood LED tapers from Pier One in the deer candelabra.

The flatware pattern is Deer Frost by Mossy Oak and is available on Amazon.  It was originally offered by Cabela's.

Mr. Moose is all leather and from Home Goods.

I used three candle holders that were purchased at Orchard Garden Center on the server.  The birch flameless candles were purchased at Reggie's Flower Shoppe in Welcome, NC.   I added three glittered leaf candle rings by Valerie Parr Hill on the candle holders.  I placed a couple woodland critters in the gold magnolia and pine greenery.

The stack.

The menswear plaid fabric was purchased at 1502 Fabrics in High Point, NC this Summer.  I do not have the pattern name or number, but I'm sure if you are interested in purchasing the fabric you could send them this picture and they could tell you if it's in stock.   They have the greatest fabrics.   I love shopping at 1502 on my visits home to North Carolina each Summer.    They also offer items online.

The wood grain charger plate was found at Michael's.

The red dinner plates are from Pier One.

The "Stag" plate from Pier One last season.  I believe it's called Alexander.

This table reminds me of a scene from the movie The Queen staring Helen Mirren.  In the sequence (see below), Helen Mirren, as Elizabeth II, sit on a hill in the lush Balmoral countryside and see's a beautiful stag that is being hunted by many.

  1. I enjoyed seeing this table on your Facebook live post earlier and I enjoyed the in-depth look at it through this blog post. I love the birch candles and you're right, that stag centerpiece is perfect with the plates from Pier 1 (which I love).

    1. Thank you so much Joy. This was a fun table to plan. It's more of a masculine feel, but I enjoy it.

    1. Thank you so much Debra! Lisa has been very busy with her new line of jewels, clothing and home decor. She has several amazing things on her website. She does a live Facebook chat each Sunday at 7PM Eastern to show the items coming up on her site during the week. I miss her at QVC, but enjoy watching her do her live chats. Thank you for stopping by for a visit.
