Where in the heck did 2017 go? I always look forward to a new year and a fresh start. My dog Cooper is not a fan of the fireworks that will blast off in our neighborhood so I will spend it at home with my best friend glued to my side. I will enjoy a nice bottle of chilled champagne and dinner along with some fun party foods to eat while watching Anderson Cooper on CNN. This year Anderson has another one of my favorites as his sidekick. Andy Cohen from the Bravo Network will join him in Times Square to ring in 2018. I'm sure they will have lots of fun and hopefully not freeze to death in the extreme cold temps expected Sunday night in New York City. My friend Karen named the post this week after seeing all the "bling" on the table. It's very shiny and sparkly and very pretty at night.
The gold illuminated finials and the set of three sparking diamond ice trees in the centerpiece are part of the Valerie Parr Hill collection from QVC. I used a white feathered boa that I purchased from Amazon around the finials and trees. |
The black cut glass flutes are from HomeGoods earlier this year. |
Yes, Cooper has his own place card at every table. He's always by my side waiting for something to nibble on while I have dinner. |
The napkin rings are from Z Gallerie and are currently on sale in store and online. |
I used a gold wreath with a top hat on the server. The 5 illuminated glittler wax trees , the illuminated faceted gem hurricanes with microlights, round mirror with faceted glass accents and champagne glittered leaf candle rings are from the Valerie Parr Hill Collection on QVC. The gold and silver metallic orchids are from Z Gallerie a few years ago. |
Overhead view of the table. |
The plate stack starts with the black sequin charger plate, glass plates that I made with clock pattern paper a few years ago, black salad plates and a smaller clock plate. |
Cooper's ready for the party! |
I wish everyone a healthy, happy and prosperous New Year!
Catherine

Beautiful table! I think the sequin charger covers are the best! I hope you and Cooper will have a nice New Year's Eve and a very Happy 2018.
ReplyDeleteThank you Joy! I know I'll enjoy them on more special tables to come. Cooper and I wish you and your family a healthy and happy New Year!
DeleteBeautiful! What a fun stack of plates! I have a set of the small clock plates, but no motivation to set a table for New Year's Eve. We don't celebrate. It will be a quiet evening as usual. Have a good time bringing in the new year at this festive table.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Sarah! Mine will be a quiet one up until a few minutes before the ball drops. I just hope I can stay awake. lol Have a Happy New Year!
DeleteReally pretty tablescape!!! Love it! And, how did you create circle photos on here??! Love them, too! I don't have anything exciting to post for New Year's as we've only ever had one New Year's Eve party, sad to say. Now tea parties... I have hosted lots of those so that I can whip up! ;) Happily pinning and sharing yours...
ReplyDeleteHave a great time with your pup this New Year's! Our Peke loves having us home, too,
Barb :)
Thank you so much Barbara! I use the Photogrid App on my iPad to edit and make my picture collages. There is a circle photo frame that works perfect for a single picture like the plates or overhead table. I will be home alone with my pup watching the ball drop, but we will have some bubbly and yummy snacks. Thank you for stopping by for a visit and enjoy your time with your family. Happy New Year!
DeleteWhat a beautiful New Year's table! So festive!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!

DeleteI have just died and gone to New Year's Eve glitz and glam and glorious heaven! Your table and accompanying decorations is the ultimate New Year's Eve display. It looks right out of a Great Gatsby movie!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing!
Sparkle! Shimmer! Glimmer! Gleam!

DeleteIt is so nice ,must have been fun to setting up.
ReplyDeleteI would not want to ever put it away after New Years Eve. Do you do different every year?
Happy New Year Laura
Thank you Laura and it was fun putting it together. I use the same plates each year and change out the linens, glasses and centerpiece. I'm looking forward to a nice dinner then late evening snacks tonight at the table. Have a Happy New Year!
DeleteTerrific tablescape for a festive and fun New Year's - even if it is just a quiet evening at home, it's nice to do it up in style and you definitely have! Wonderful centerpiece and fantastic dishes - you made those beautiful chargers out of a skirt - genius! I especially liked the gold wreath with the hat and sign on your server. Happy New Year to you and Cooper!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Lori. It was a fun table to pull together. I'm happy I found that skirt in the back of the closet recently. I was going to buy sequin fabric to sew the charger plate covers, but decided to use the skirt. Have a Happy New Year!
DeleteJust hopped over from BNOTP Tablescape Thursday. I absolutely love your use of the clock motif - "time" is perfect for ringing in the New Year!
ReplyDeleteMy fur babies are not fans of the neighborhood fireworks, either, but they are troopers and tough it out. I have to work on New Year's Day, so I haven't yet decided whether or not I'll sip much champagne, but I always like to have a glass. I will probably binge something on Netflix, and then hit the sheets before midnight. 'Tis how I roll these days!
Kim @ The ReInVintaged Life
Thank you for stopping by Kim. I love BNOTP Tablescape Thursday. I started following Susan years ago and she was my inspiration to start tablescaping. Enjoy your time tonight with your fur babies. I'll be hanging tight in front of Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper watching the ball drop and sipping a little bubbly! Happy New Year!
DeleteCatherine, your table is gorgeous. Love the colors. What a great plate stack. You always have the best accessories. I am so sorry you lost your dad. It is so sad. They are so loved and missed. Blessings to you. May your New Year sparkle.
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda! I wished we lived closer. We could have some great parties together! I will keep you and your Mom in my prayers. I know how challenging a loss can be. I will be toasting my Dad and your Dad tonight at midnight. Big hugs to you from across the miles. 2018 will be a new life journey for us and we will make it a great year. Happy New Year!
DeleteWhat a lovely, festive table! Your homemade plates are fabulous! Wishing you all God's blessings for 2018!

ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday, Catherine. Thank you for joining us, and for making Pink Saturdays special.
ReplyDeleteI love your tablescape. Everything is perfect. And, so festive. This post is being featured on my Pink Saturday post this week as "the one with the most clicks". Everyone loved it.
My cousin's husband is from Welcome. And, I lived most of my life in Fort Lauderdale. We live in North Carolina now. Small world.
Happy Pink Saturday Beverly and thank you so much for the feature!! I love joining your Pink Saturday party each week and seeing about the beautiful items shared. I cannot believe your husband has a cousin in Welcome. You should email me his name. I have lived in FL since 1999, but all of my family and friends still live in Welcome or the surrounding area. It is a small world. Thank you again for the feature and have a wonderful New Year!
DeleteHow ingenious to use a skirt as a charger cover! It was perfect!Absolutely love the bling and those flutes! Thanks for sharing at Vintage Charm. xo Kathleen|Our Hopeful Home
